He is teaching medical statistics at the specialization school for medical physics at the University of Turin. Prior to this appointment, he worked from 1991 to 2000 as Medical Physicist at the Hospital of Novara, Dept. of Nuclear Medicine with special topics on calibration and quality assurance of gamma cameras and PET scanners. Since 2012 he is Secretary General of the EFOMP and since 2017 Vice President of the EFOMP where he established from 2014 the EFOMP European School for Medical Physics Expert (ESMPE).

Alberto Torresin, PhD
ASST Niguarda, Dept. of Medical Physics, and University of Milano, Physics Faculty, ItalyDr Alberto Torresin works as the Head of Medical Physics Dept. and Visiting Professor in the Physics Faculty, ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda and University of Milano, Italy. His professional focus is on the patient dosimetry, optimisation and radiation protection in x-ray modalities, quality assurance, imaging for radiotherapy, MRI, advanced MRI (fMRI, DTI) for planning in Neurosurgery.
The research work is primarily related on radiological optimisation, currently emphasizing the use dose tracking and multicenter CT and angio exposure tracking. Dr Torresin is one of the coordinators of the EFOMP Working Group for QA protocol in Digital Mammography and CBCT and AIFM Working Group on "Dose exposure" ; he is a member of European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer, Guidelines Development Group; Principal Investigator of the project: PREP Procedure Radiodiagnostiche in Età Pediatrica.

Manuel Bardiès has been developing his research in radiopharmaceutical dosimetry within INSERM since 1991, in Nantes (20 years since 1991) then in Toulouse (from 2011 to now). He was recruited by INSERM (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research) as Research Scientist (1992), and then promoted to Research Director in 2009.
M Bardiès was one of the founding members of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) Dosimetry Committee in 2001, as a member (2001-2013) then as Chair of the committee (2009-2011). From 2014 to 2016 he was EFOMP chairman of the science committee. In 2017 he was appointed in the Board of the European School of Medical Physics Experts (ESMPE).

Prior to this appointment he worked from 1994 to 2010 as Medical Physicist at the University Clinic of Tübingen, Dept. for Radiation Oncology with special topics on calibration and quality assurance of linear accelerators, stereotactic treatments and hyperthermia treatments. Since 2002 he is officer for public relations and internal communication or the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Physik (DGMP). From 2003 to 2008 he was EFOMP chairman of the communication and publications committee, where he relaunched the EFOMP European Medical Physics News in 2006 and continues as one of the editors. Since 2017 he is chairman of the EFOMP education and training committee.

Brendan McClean, PhD
St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network Dublin, Dept. of Physics, IrelandBrendan McClean is currently Director of Physics at St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to this appointment in 1995 he worked at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Canada as a radiotherapy medical physicist. He has an Adjunct Professor position and co-supervises PhD students at University College Dublin School of Physics. He teaches at graduate and undergraduate physics courses and for the Specialist Registrar Fellowship training programme. He is also active in ESTRO and was part of the ESTRO Physics Committee for many years. He has an ongoing interest in dose calculation in radiotherapy and has been part of the faculty of the ESTRO Dose Modelling and Verification course since 2008. He is the programme director for the CAMPEP accredited Irish Radiotherapy Physics Residency programme. Since 2005 he has served as physics lead to the Irish National Cancer Control Programme.

His professional focus is on the quality assurance, dosimetry, optimisation and radiation protection in x-ray modalities, especially the evolving multi-slice CT technology. The research work is primarily related on radiological optimisation, currently emphasizing the use of anthropomorphic phantoms and Monte Carlo simulations. Dr Kortesniemi is coordinator of the PIQON (pediatric image quality and organ dose optimisation) research group within the MATRENA doctoral programme in the University of Helsinki, Department of Physics, Finland. In addition to his primary position in HUS Medical Imaging Center, Dr Kortesniemi is also involved in IAEA missions and quality audits in radiology.

Her special interest is on Hospital Quality Management Systems and Radiotherapy Quality Audits and she has been actively involved in various hospital quality committees since 1996. She is the Public Affairs and Communications responsible for the Hellenic Association of Medical Physicists (HAMP) and EFOMP’s Internet Manager. Jaroslav Ptáček, PhD
University Hospital Olomouc, Dept. of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection, Czech RepublicJaroslav Ptáček works as the head of the Department of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection in the University Hospital in Olomouc, Czech Republic. He is a medical physicist in nuclear medicine and focuses himself mainly on image processing, quality control and radiation protection. He is involved in teaching of medical physics and instrumentation in nuclear medicine and x-ray diagnostics in technologists education program. He is also involved in education and training of medical physicists in nuclear medicine in Czech Republic who are working on becoming qualified medical physicist. As a board member of Czech Association of Medical Physicists he is involved in professional matters of medical physicists in Czech Republic. Since 2013 he is a part of local organizing committee of ESMPE in Prague and since 2018 he is a secretary general of EFOMP.

Annalisa Trianni, Dr.
Udine University Hospital (ASUIUD), Dept. of Medical Physics, ItalyDr. Annalisa Trianni works as medical physicist at Udine University Hospital (ASUIUD), Udine, Italy. Her primary field of application is the medical imaging field, with a focus on dose and image quality optimization for the different X-ray imaging modalities and a special interest for interventional radiology. She is also working as Radiation protection Expert (RPE).
Dr. Trianni is teaching radiation protection, medical radiation physics and imaging informatics at the Universities of Udine and Trieste. Dr. Trianni has been involved in various research projects (i.e.: DIMOND and SENTINEL) and, more recently, in EUTEMPE-RX.
In addition, Dr. Trianni is involved in IAEA missions and experts group and in several international working groups (chair of DICOM WG28, member of DICOM WG02, secretary and board member of EUSOMII, Radiation protection WG and and professional issues and economics in radiology WG for ESR). She has been coordinator of the working group on digital radiology of the Italian association of medical physics. Dr. Trianni is the secretary of EFOMP Science Committee.
