WHO convened an International Workshop on Ethical Aspects of Radiation Protection in Health Care in September 2019. This meeting included participants from all the stakeholder professions and patients, was held at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and organized in cooperation with ICRP. The policy brief was prepared by a WHO working group, draws on the workshop, and is further stongly influenced by the deliberations of a Working Group and core drafting group that have created it during the last 18 months. It finds ethics to be a central consideration in medical radiation protection, and is addressed to the professionals involved in delivering serivces.
