The European School of Multimodality Imaging & Therapy (ESMIT) invites you to join the upcoming course on Advanced Features of Quantification This intensive 2-course will be taking place in Vienna, Austria. 

Reliable quantification in nuclear medicine is a corner stone of our field. However, with the ever-increasing capabilities of modern SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET/CT system and their role in diagnostic and therapy, the knowledge of this foundation and the potential limitations of all these methods tends to disappear in a black box. Thus, this ESMIT Level 3 High-End Course on Quantification in SPECT and PET (Oncology) will provide the necessary resources to critically investigate recent and future technology “break-throughs” and let the attendee gain confidence in quantification methods in the aforementioned fields to maintain the foundation layer of our field in daily practice. This course addresses the general principles of nuclear medicine, image reconstruction basics, and techniques for image registration and segmentation in SPECT and PET. Furthermore, quantitative parameters, assessment of therapy response, and motion compensation are covered. All methodological considerations are accompanied with hands-on sessions.
