Aarhus University Hospital is inviting for applications for a 3-year research position as medical physics PhD student, for enrollment in the PhD program at Aarhus University, Denmark. The position is full time.

Job description
The research project for the position falls within the topic of retrospective analysis of breast cancer radiotherapy data, and will be supervised by Professors Stine Korreman and Birgitte Offersen.

The project is partly funded by The Danish Cancer Society and by DCCC Radiotherapy (www.radiotherapy.dk), and concerns investigations of correlation between radiation induced morbidities and dose parameters in breast cancer. The study will be performed in a large data set including imaging, treatment plan and registry data from  ~12.000 patients in a nationwide cohort. Data analysis is to be performed using mathematical modelling and machine learning techniques.  The project aims towards the implementation of national clinical radiotherapy protocols for high risk breast cancer patients, including selection of patients for proton therapy.
