The Biomedical Imaging Research Group from University Medical Center La Fe in Valencia - Spain - is looking for a postdoctoral researcher (PhD in MR technology or quantification). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of MR fundamentals and experience in sequence optimization for use in both patients and phantoms.
The job offer is part for an international project (TRANSCAN 2022: MATTO-GBM https://transcan.eu/output-results/funded-projects/matto-gbm.kl) focused on PET/MR imaging for GBM.
The main tasks include:
• Supervision of the optimization of MR protocols for a Signa PET/MR GE system in a prospective cohort of patients with primary or recurrent GBM, as well as the quantitative analysis of the resulting images.
• Development and application of protocols for quality control of MR equipment using specific phantoms. This includes:
- Characterization of T1, T2, and T2*;
- Quantification of the resulting images;
- Analysis of deviations in image quality parameters based on differences in sequence parameters;
- Implementation and optimization of dynamic sequences.
• Development and adjustment of MR sequences to achieve optimal results in different clinical and research scenarios.
