Medical Dosimetrist in treatment planning, Working hours per week: 42 hrs (permanent position), Starting 01/06/2024 (flexible).
The department of Radiation Oncology at the Cantonal Hospital of Graubünden (Switzerland) treats on average 850 new patients per year with state-of-the-art radiotherapy treatment techniques.
It is equipped with a CT scanner, two modern linear accelerators -TrueBeams, Eclipse Treatment Planning System, Aria Patient Management system and with modern equipment for dosimetry and Quality Assurance, and Therapanacea's AI for autocontouring. The department is ISO-Norm 9001:2015 certified.
The medical physics team consists of four medical physicists, two dosimetrists and a medical informatik. Dosimetrists are involved in all aspects of routine treatment planning and treatment planning QA, and contribute to the implementation of new treatment planning techniques and to the development of the clinical service. A degree in therapeutic radiography or equivalent is required for this position.
Ideally a minimum of two years of experience as medical radiation dosimetrist / therapy radiographer working in treatment planning is also required. Current license to practice as a treatment radiographer/radiation and/or medical dosimetrist is an advantage.
Experience with the Varian Eclipse treatment planning system will be an advantage The position requires someone with good analytical skills. Excellent communication skills are also needed in order to work as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team and proficiency in English. German would be an advantage.
