Radiotherapy in Nottingham is a well-equipped department treating patients in the Nottinghamshire area. We provide paediatric radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery for the East Midlands. Lung SBRT is a routine service. Major equipment includes 5 Elekta linacs (2 Agilities, 3 Versa HDs), a Tomotherapy unit, 2 Toshiba Aquilion wide bore 4D CT scanners as well as superficial, contact therapy, and brachytherapy treatment facilities. Treatment planning is carried out with OMP and Monaco. We are currently installing the RayStation planning system.
We are seeking to appoint a radiotherapy physicist to participate in all the work of the department (including treatment planning, dosimetry, QA, and brachytherapy). The successful applicant will have HCPC registration as a clinical scientist or will be expecting to achieve registration within the next 12 months. Anyone appointed pre-registration will be paid in accordance with Agenda for Change annex 21 until registration is achieved. Applicants with equivalent registration in another country are welcome.
