The University of Manitoba invites applications or nominations for a full-time probationary tenure-track, Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Medical Imaging Physics. The Government of Canada has established the CRC program to enable Canadian universities to foster world-class research excellence. Tier 2 CRCs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars. Candidates must have less than 10 years of experience as active researchers in their field of study at the time of nomination. Imaging is an area of strategic importance to the University, and the Chair will play a key role in promoting interdisciplinary research at the interface of physics, computer science, mathematics, radiology, and engineering, within the Faculty and across the University. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Physics, Medical Physics, Engineering, or a related field and will have demonstrated the potential to become a leader in Medical Imaging Physics with interest in developing tools and techniques that will have global impact.
