Eutempe-RX modules 2017After a successful first Module on "Leadership in Medical Physics:
Development of the Profession and the Challenges for the Medical Physics Expert in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology" in Prague in February, the 2nd edition on 'Achieving Quality in Diagnostic and Screening Mammography' is on going.

The next 3 courses take place in Varna (Bulgaria), Barcelona (Spain) and Ferrara (Italy). Three exceptional teams welcoming you to their lab!

Module 5 Physical and virtual anthropomorphic phantoms for image quality and patient dose optimization
 (MAY 22 – 26, 2017)
The team of Kristina Bliznakova is particularly famous for breast modelling in the frame of virtual clinical trials and 3D printing. The start of the Module is confirmed.
There are 4 places left for you or your colleagues to join the course.
Be quick, as the online part starts April 1st, 2017.
This module introduces basic (Monte Carlo) simulation tools, modelling
and techniques from biomedical engineering in radiology. All participants work at a specific optimization study, from concept to scientific paper.
The fee for this Module is exceptionally low (only 170 € and housing is also not expensive; reduced fee is 100€), as the course was integrated into another EC project that supports part of the running costs, MaxiMa  http://maxima-tuv.eu/

Module 3 Monte Carlo simulation of X-ray imaging and dosimetry
(June 22 – 26, 2017)
Josep Sempau, José M. Fernandez-Varea and Aldo Badano are world experts in Monte Carlo simulation, and famous for the Penelope and Mantis packages. Hilde Bosmans will illustrate applications of Monte Carlo for image quality and dose optimization in radiology from practical experience.
There are only 2 places left. If you want to join, tell us today!

Module 4 Innovation & Advanced X-ray physics for imaging devices in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
 (SEPT 11 – 15, 2017)
Angelo Taibi and Mauro Gambaccini introduce the techniques of the
future: x-rays (after all) are ‘rays’, or better: waves. Topics include dual energy techniques and phase contrast. The course includes a visit, selected lectures and a practical session in the Elettra Synchrotron facility in Trieste (Italy) (bus trip).
