We are thrilled to announce that abstract submission for European Radiation Protection Week (ERPW) 2025, in London from the 29th September to 3rd October, is now open.

We are seeking oral and poster presentations on the conference topics below, and in any and all areas related to radiation protection research. Please do note that All submissions should, wherever possible, include consideration of stakeholder input and social sciences/humanities.

All details, including the link to the abstract submission portal, are available on the website: Radiation Protection Week 2025 - Abstract submission and presentation guidelines. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is May 31st.

The programme has also now been agreed, with huge thanks to the Scientific Committee: Radiation Protection Week 2025 - Scientific Programme.

The parallel sessions with invited speakers/round table discussions will focus on:

The PIANOFORTE project
Approaches to radiation protection in a deregulated world
DNA repair mechanisms
Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) for Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and Advanced Modular Reactors (AMR)
RadoNorm achievements

The plenary session topics for which abstract submission are particularly invited, are:

Non-cancer diseases: Risks and mechanisms at low doses/dose-rates
Infrastructures for radiation protection research
Environmental and human protection from multiple stressor exposure
PrISMA roundtable, quality & safety of medical applications
Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) for nuclear detonation
Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOP) in radiation protection
Dosimetry in space and at high altitudes
Risks and patient protection in medical applications
Early Career Researcher (ECR) special session: From theory into practice, translating research into action
Stochastic effects: Advances in assessment of risk and underlying mechanisms
Considering ecosystem services in radiation protection
Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) frameworks, governance and stakeholder involvement
Deep underground labs in low dose studies
Radiation protection for novel molecular imaging and therapies
Fundamental concepts in radiation dosimetry
Other (all topics of relevance for radiation protection welcome)

More information including on registration will continue to be added to the website over the coming weeks, and in the meantime, if you have any questions, please do get in touch on erpw2025@ukhsa.gov.uk.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts!
