EFOMP works towards the Europe-wide recognition of Medical Physics as a regulated profession in all member states as well as Medical Physics as a health care profession. This aim has been cast into the Malaga Declaration.

The EU Matters Committee has a remit to keep a watching brief on EU Projects that are relevant to the field of Medical Physics when new calls are made, project status is updated, EU sponsored events are announced and regulations are being formulated or announced.
Some information on how the EU operates is available here; note that this was presented in 2010. To assist the EU Matters Committee, it would help us if you could identify an MEP from your country whom we could contact to inform them about the Medical Physicist profession in general and the EFOMP view of the MPE in particular. Please would you send the name of your identified MEP to the Chairman?
