Treatment Planning Solutions from CMS
CMS is one of the pioneers in the field of treatment planning and provides planning solutions for more then 20 years.
- XiO, the latest version of the CMS 3D treatment planning system offers the highest flexibility in hardware and software configuration, supporting Intel based hardware under Linux. The new file menu and icon style interface builds on a user's familiarity with common Windows applications. Productivity is greatly enhanced with minimal selection paths to heavily used functions and also by library storage of favourite graphic layouts and beam set-ups.
Quick and accurate IMRT planning, clinically proven, for all modern linacs such as Siemens, Elekta and Varian is one of the strengths of the system.
- XiO systems can be expanded cost efficiently with Focal workstations based on standard PC hardware, and mainly dedicated for medical doctors. FocalSim, the CT simulation package, includes automated image fusion (CT, MR, PET), manual and automatic contouring as well as virtual fluoroscopy, real-time DRR's of superior quality and DICOM-RT data export. FocalSim can also be used in connection with non-CMS treatment planning systems.
- XiO and Focal products can be used just as efficiently by multi-site centres with satellite clinics. Through a WAN (Wide Area Network) connection physicists and physicians can easily access the patient data in any connected centre.
- The CMS product line today, also includes solutions for Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT). I-Beam, a self contained Ultrasound organ position control system allows the determination and correction of set-up errors for soft tissue organs before the daily treatment.
- For the ultrasound guided seed implantation for prostate patients CMS provides a complete solution by the combination of Interplant planning software and Accuseed digital stepper.
